A weather app tells you it’s 41 °C.
HeatShield tells you what to do about it.

Heat is linked to an estimated 489,000 deaths a year. The people most at risk — outdoor workers, older adults, anyone without reliable cooling — rarely get a warning that is specific to their body, their job and their language. HeatShield turns the forecast into a personal action plan and warns you before the hottest hours arrive.

Check your heat risk

Or try a live example:

One person can watch out for a whole group

A site foreman, a teacher, a clinic outreach worker or a neighbour checking on older residents creates a group, shares one invite link, and sees everyone’s heat risk on a single private dashboard — who is in danger now, and when it peaks. Each member still gets their own alerts in their own language.

See it working

The demo dashboard follows a fictional group spread across real hot places, with live forecasts. It is read-only.

No accounts or passwords: groups use a private dashboard link that only the leader holds.

Eight AI agents run it around the clock

Sol watches for heatwaves every hour and Quinn checks how far to trust the forecast. Mira writes the advice, Lexi and Vera check every plan before anyone sees it, and Iris teaches the team from its own corrections. Kai plans group check-ins and coordinates the questions you ask them, and Otto keeps the site up. This office is drawn from their real activity on AWS, live.

How it works

Real weather, real heat science, and generative AI used for the part that matters most: turning a number into a plan a person will actually follow.

  1. 1 · Forecast

    Live hourly weather

Temperature and humidity for the next four days from Open-Meteo, anywhere on Earth. Your location is rounded to about 1 km.

  2. 2 · Science

    NWS heat index

The US National Weather Service formula combines heat and humidity into a heat index and risk tier, hour by hour, including when risk will rise and peak.

  3. 3 · Personal

    Your body, your threshold

Older adults, pregnant people, young children and people with chronic conditions are warned one tier earlier than the general public.

  4. 4 · Amazon Bedrock

An action plan in your language

An AI model writes three concrete steps and the warning signs to watch, grounded in CDC and NIOSH guidance, in any of 13 languages.

  5. 5 · Early warning

Alerts you don’t have to ask for

Every hour, Amazon EventBridge Scheduler triggers a re-check and Amazon SNS emails anyone whose risk is rising.
